Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
I have to be honest. I really hate this hymn. I don't know if it's because it's slow and drawn out. I don't know if I hate it because of where I sang it last and the baggage I still carry from that experience. Maybe it's because it talks about obeying and I like to naturally challenge and question things. Or, maybe it's all the above.
What I do know is this, when leaders choose to trust and obey (T.A.O.) God, those who follow will have the opportunity to trust and obey in an area where they might not have had the opportunity before. In other words, leader's who obey God's calling - God's leading and prompting - enable others to do the same.
So, in what arena do you have influence? Is God prompting you to do (or not do) something. The challenge is to (T)rust (A)nd (O)bey - in doing so, you are leading others to do the same.
Is it possible to truly obey without trusting?

I think it's always a factor. But I also think there's room for questions.
